MIX MOB

30 Years of West Coast Sound

Est. 1996 | San Diego, California

The Story

MIX MOB isn’t just another Southern California band. With three decades of musical history, over one million streams across digital platforms, a genre-defying sound, and a legacy of sharing stages with some of alternative music’s most recognizable names, MIX MOB embodies the independent spirit of West Coast music.

Blending reggae grooves, alternative rock, punk energy, and hip-hop influences, MIX MOB has carved out its own identity in Southern California’s music scene.

Founded in Fresno, California, in 1996 by vocalist and songwriter Ryan Weaver and bassist Matt Rowe, the band relocated to San Diego in 1998, where its signature sound took shape. Rooted in West Coast culture and driven by an independent approach to music, MIX MOB became part of the region’s evolving alternative rock and reggae scene.
